Dear Residents, The Hurricane Season is upon us. Weather events of past years have taught us many lessons, the most important of which is to prepare well in advance. Preparation includes having a plan for your family including knowing what you need to take with you in an evacuation. Where you will go, how will you protect your Home and its contents, and when should you begin preparations? Please take a moment to review the following important information. Residents are responsible for preparing their homes for an approaching storm. Patios must be cleared of furniture, plants and other non-secured items. Satellite dishes must be dismantled. Many residents fail to clear their patios of plants, furniture, satellite dishes, decorations and unsecured items. All of the above will become missiles during high winds and cause damage to property and perhaps death to those who venture outdoors. Remove those items promptly when a hurricane watch is announced. Please see our guide for more. If you can not manage the above named tasks yourself, then make arrangements well in advance with a relative, friend or hired help. Association staff will be fully occupied securing Association property and performing essential assigned tasks to protect the common elements. If you will be out of town during hurricane season, you must make preparations prior to leaving. Residents requiring assistance must make arrangements with a responsible individual.
